Often I find exceptional words that resonate in my soul which I choose for my everyday usage. More often than not,
I do not have the authors of these words. I wanted to share them anyway.
Heartprints
Whatever our hands touch, We leave fingerprints!
On walls, on furniture, On doorknobs, dishes, books.
There's no escape. As we touch we leave our identity.
Oh God, wherever I go today, Help me leave heartprints!
Heartprints of compassion, Of understanding and love.
Heartprints of kindness and genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lonely neighbor
Or a runaway daughter, Or an anxious mother
Or perhaps an aged grandfather.
Lord, send me out today to leave heartprints.
And if someone should say "I felt your touch,"
May that one sense Your Love touching through me.
When trouble is knocking at your door, just say
"Jesus, would you get that for me?"
We worry most over bridges that never appear.
The More You Give The More You Get
The more you do unselfishly,
The more you live abundantly,
The more of everything you share.
The more you laugh,
The less you fret,
The more you'll always have to spare.
The more you love,
The more you'll find
That life is good and friends are kind.
For only what we give away
Enriches us from day to day.
